農曆春節將至，家家戶戶陸續展開年終大掃除，透過除舊布新，將平日不易清潔之處徹底整理，以嶄新、整潔的居家環境迎接馬年到來。金門縣環境保護局提醒民眾，進行環境整理及居家清理時，切勿將資源回收物混入一般垃圾，應確實做好分類，分為一般垃圾、資源回收物及廚餘，共同維護環境整潔與安全。
環保局特別提醒，春節前後常見的回收物品須妥善處理。高壓容器類如小型瓦斯罐、防曬噴霧、髮膠及殺蟲劑等，務必確認內容物已完全用盡後，單獨打包交由資源回收車回收，切勿直接丟入垃圾車，以免引發爆炸或燃燒危險。各類乾電池及充電電池請集中包裝後回收；汰換下來的燈管與燈泡，應先妥善包裝避免破碎，再交由清潔隊回收。
至於大型廢棄物如櫥櫃、彈簧床、桌椅等家具，可事先與清潔隊聯繫，約定收運時間及地點。舊衣回收前請確認衣物乾淨、完整，無破損或異味，貼身衣物（內衣褲、泳衣）、配件、玩偶及寢具類基於衛生考量恕不回收，民眾可透過舊衣回收箱、回收據點或資源回收車交付，提升循環再利用效益。
此外，環保局也呼籲民眾在準備年菜時落實綠色飲食理念，衡量實際需求，吃多少、煮多少，避免過量採買與烹調，減少食物浪費及廚餘產生；如有剩食，請確實分類並進行廚餘回收，切勿混入一般垃圾。
春節期間請民眾配合各鄉鎮垃圾清運時間排出垃圾，若遇暫停收運時段，應妥善打包並分類存放，不得任意棄置或放置戶外。若違反規定造成環境污染，將依《廢棄物清理法》處新臺幣1,200元至6,000元罰鍰。環保局感謝鄉親共同配合，攜手打造整潔、美麗的金門，並祝福大家馬年新春如意、闔家平安。
