隨著高齡化社會來臨，失智症照護成為公眾健康的重要課題。本縣衛生局表示，失智症是一種疾病而非單純老化，為落實中央政策並建構完善的失智照護體系，衛生局自107年起持續推動「失智照護服務計畫」，經公開徵求本年度共有失智共同照護中心1家及失智社區服務據點(簡稱失智據點)5家，提供從診斷、諮詢到認知促進的整合性服務。

本年度失智共同照護中心(簡稱)由衛生福利部金門醫院辦理，共照中心主要提供包含1.協助疑似及確診失智症者完成就醫診斷程序，並進行個案評估及主要照顧者評估。2.諮詢服務。3.協助疑似或確診失智症者轉介長照服務或其他社會資源(如長照服務、失智據點、巷弄長照站等)。
五大失智據點：提供多元化的認知促進、延緩失智課程與照顧支持，促進社會參與
為讓長者能在熟悉的社區中延緩失能與失智，本縣於各鄉鎮布建失智據點5家，提供包含認知促進、延緩失能課程、共餐服務、照顧者支持團體或照顧者照顧課程、安全看視等服務。服務對象為確診失智症輕度(含)以下且未失能或輕度以下失能者(長照需要等為(簡稱CMS)第3級(含)以下)。詳情請洽各失智據點諮詢。
