金湖分局因應年節前現金流動頻繁，於2月3日下午聯合金門縣信用合作社金沙分社辦理防搶演練，強化金融機構防衛能力並測試員警緊急應變。演練內容包含反詐、防搶宣導、歹徒持槍行搶應變、通報部署、跟追攔截及圍捕攻堅等情境，過程逼真緊湊，吸引路過民眾圍觀，誤以為發生真實搶案。
演訓後副分局長廖建棠勉勵同仁落實金融機構與財物匯集場所巡守，確保民眾財產安全。警方也提醒，提領大量現金可請親友陪同或申請護鈔服務，外出可申請住家安維專案，並提高警覺防範網購、假投資與交友詐騙，遇疑可撥110或165，共同守護平安春節。
