烈嶼鄉保生大帝廟春節「擲聖筊競賽」於大年初三迎來最高潮，歷經三天熱烈競逐，56歲、來自烈嶼鄉埔頭村的洪國賢連擲10個聖筊，一舉奪下價值新台幣60萬元以上的頭獎轎車。今年活動自農曆正月初一至初三盛大舉行，初一、初二為預賽階段，每日上午8時30分至晚間8時30分開放民眾參加，只要添緣款300元取得初賽卡，連續擲出三個聖筊即可晉級決賽。兩日共吸引4,937位信眾與遊客踴躍參與，最終有671位脫穎而出，取得初三上午決賽資格。決賽現場人潮洶湧，廟埕內外排起長龍，親友團加油聲此起彼落，氣氛隨著聖筊次數節節攀升，緊張又歡騰。

（19）日壓軸決賽上午登場，眾多晉級者齊聚廟前，在保生大帝神威庇佑下全力一搏。最終由洪國賢穩健連擲10個聖筊奪冠。他自高中畢業赴台工作，多年來，每逢春節必定返鄉參加擲筊活動，十餘年來屢試手氣，始終僅獲參加獎。今年終於福至心靈，喜從天降。他感謝廟方長年舉辦此一盛會，為鄉親增添喜氣與希望，也祈願新的一年大家平安順遂、好運連連。更巧合的是，首屆頭獎亦由埔頭村鄉親抱回，如今好運再度降臨同村。
