金門縣政府針對曾申請修復獎助、目前處於閒置狀態的傳統建築，推出「傳統建築租賃資訊服務」，協助整合並公開租賃資訊。縣府透過現況調查了解建築閒置原因及屋主出租意願，並在取得所有權人或管理人授權後，將相關資料公開於城鄉發展處網站，提供民眾透明且便利的查詢管道。此舉不僅提升老屋曝光度，也為有意承租、體驗金門文化生活的民眾提供更多選擇。
縣府表示，投入傳統建築風貌維護已逾20年，成果廣受肯定，但修復只是保存文化的第一步，若缺乏日常使用與維護，建築仍可能因自然風化而加速損壞。因此縣府積極推動空間活化與再利用，期盼透過引入居住與生活機能，延長建築使用壽命，同時帶動社區活力與地方發展。
為改善古厝修復後閒置的情形，縣府團隊主動與屋主溝通，針對已修復的傳統建築進行普查，確認租賃意向與需求，並建立包括空間特色、周邊環境、內部格局及預期租金等基礎資料，整理為客觀介紹並公告於網站，打造便利的資訊交流平台。城鄉發展處指出，金門古厝具有濃厚閩南風情與獨特生活氛圍，深受許多嚮往在地文化生活者青睞，透過租賃媒合，讓老屋持有人活化資產，也讓傳統建築在現代生活中持續發揮價值。
