1名家住雲林、患有輕微失智症的張姓7旬老翁，日前與親友赴金門旅遊時不慎走散，遂於金城環島西路與民族路口徘徊；民眾見其行徑疑似迷路，遂報警前來協助處理；警方獲報後立即趕赴現場，秉持同理心耐心關懷，並主動展開查訪，最終順利協助老翁與同行親友會合，平安團圓。

警方指出，張姓老翁隨同親友自雲林赴金門旅遊，期間不慎與同行人員走失，遂於民族路及環島西路一帶徘徊。員警到場後，先行安撫其情緒，並考量其為外地旅客，研判可能投宿於轄內旅宿業，遂駕駛巡邏車載同老翁，逐一前往轄內飯店及民宿進行查訪。
