金城鎮民權路西南門里公所前路段於(4)日約10時50分許發生一起交通事故，鍾姓男子駕駛自小客車沿民權路西南門里公所前路段欲迴轉往金城國中方向時，與沿民權路直行往縣政府方向行駛由陳姓女子(及附載乘客陳女)所騎乘之普通重型機車發生碰撞，事故造成雙方車輛受損，陳姓女子及其所附載乘客陳女受傷，由消防隊送往金門醫院做進一步檢查。金城分局於現場對雙方駕駛實施酒測，皆未有飲酒情形，至於詳細肇事原因釐清中。

金城分局表示，依照道路交通安全規則規定第106條第1項第5款，汽車迴車前，應暫停並顯示左轉燈光或手勢，看清無來往車輛，並注意行人通過，始得迴轉。再次提醒駕駛人，行經路口或路段應確實遵守「慢、看、停」原則，注意禮讓並減速慢行，以避免事故發生。
