消防局救災救護指揮中心7日晚間9時11分接獲通報，指金寧鄉慈湖路發生雜草火警，疑似波及一旁鐵皮屋，隨即派遣金寧、金城分隊消防車5輛及12名消防人員前往搶救，由金寧分隊小隊長許政勤率隊處置。消防人員到場後迅速佈署水線進行周界防護，在全力搶救下成功控制火勢，初估燃燒面積約1,000平方公尺，所幸未造成人員傷亡。
消防局提醒，近期天氣乾燥且風勢強勁，火勢易迅速蔓延，民眾切勿任意焚燒雜草或丟棄未熄滅火種，以免引發火災，並避免違反消防法及空氣污染防制法相關規定。
