金門縣金湖鎮新湖漁港旁防風林今(11)日下午1點45分左右發生一起田野火警，由於天乾物、加上東北季風助長火勢，大片林地瞬間陷入火海；警消獲報立即出動4車9人前往現場拉起4條水線進行灌救，火勢約在30分鐘獲得控制，燃燒面積初估約500平方公尺，幸無人員及財物損傷；至於詳細起火原因仍待消防局火調科進一步調查釐清。

據了解，由於火災發生地點在密林之中，不僅消防車輛難以通行、人員要靠近火場灌救也增加難度；為防止火勢持續延燒，現場警消「披荊斬棘」強行入林射水滅火，火勢在4條水線強力壓制下，終於在30分鐘左右獲得控制；但由於現場落葉層渾厚，在天乾物燥加上海邊風大的情況下，殘火不時復燃，累翻救援人員。
