金門金城日前發生暖心協助事件，一名70歲陳姓老翁來金旅遊時，因忘記民宿地址，夜間在街頭徘徊，被民眾發現後報警。當晚氣溫偏低，金城警方迅速到場，沿街訪查附近民宿仍未確認入住地點，考量老翁年長及夜間寒冷，便先行協助其就近入住其他旅社，確保人身安全，避免受困受寒。
翌日上午，原民宿業者來電確認，老翁行李仍存放民宿，經比對資訊後確認身分，隨即將行李送至老翁暫住旅社，並於返金後通知領回。案件圓滿解決。金城分局分局長周宏璘提醒，民眾如遇迷途長者，應先協助至安全處所並立即通報警方，保障安全，避免憾事發生。
